Zero-emissions in port
Improve the environmental footprint and local emissions by installing low voltage shore connection on your vessel. International standards make shore power available worldwide.
Greater steps must be taken to make shipping cleaner and to meet the increasingly stringent guidelines for ports and inland waterways.
Electrification in terms of clean power is highlighted in almost every industry today, and Ulstein proudly takes part in this by designing equipment, systems and vessels for future proofing.
For 12 per cent of her time, the supply vessel is at port, running on self-supplied power
In offshore supply duties, the vessels regularly enter ports for unloading and loading of goods, equipment, tools and personnel. Often, the timeframe is limited, and many things are happening at the same time. The vessel's power factory is kept running to have available power for cranes, pumps and hotel loads.
An estimated 12 per cent of the total operation, the vessel is at port running on self-supplied power. In other words, approx. one thousand running hours per year.
We offer a shore power solution
Ulstein's shore power solution with “plug and play” functionality and seamless synchronisation makes the connection-to-shore grid efficient and easy. Further, the shore power solution is scalable in terms of power ratings, making it easy to adapt to the vessel's power demands.
