Breakthrough for ULSTEIN within cruise: 1 + 9

Ulstein Design & Solutions AS has been awarded a very important contract by China Merchants Group (CMG), China, who will be constructing an expedition cruise vessel for owner SunStone Ships. The contract includes the design and equipment package for one and options for additional nine vessels.

We believe that our 100 years of shipbuilding experience as well as innovative solutions and designs will benefit our customers on this project," says Tore Ulstein, Chair of the Board in Ulstein Group.

The ULSTEIN CX103 expedition cruise ship is 104.3 metres long and 18.4 metres wide. The ship will accommodate 255 persons including passengers and staff. The hull will be built according to polar class PC6 and complies with the notation Safe Return to Port and Virtual Anchorage. The ship will be built at the China Merchants Heavy Industry yard for SunStone and is planned for delivery in 2019.

Ulstein Power & Control AS has been awarded the contract on system deliveries which include the bridge system ULSTEIN BRIDGE, the communication and entertainment system ULSTEIN COM, the integrated automation system ULSTEIN IAS and the power system ULSTEIN POWER. The equipment delivery will be in Q1 2018.
