Ship history
First vessel of the ULSTEIN P106 design. Named on 20 December 2003 at Ulstein Verft, and delivered two days later. Was chartered by Peterson Supplylink, an SNS pool of six different oil companies, working from Den Helder in The Netherlands.

By January 2013, Far Splendour had completed its term charter commitment for Peterson, and started to work in the North Sea spot market. During its time working for Peterson, the Far Splendourreportedly sailed around 250,000 miles, and made over 1,000 round trips from Den Helder to platforms in the Dutch sector of the North Sea.

From June 2017, Deep Sea Supply, Solstad Shipping and Farstad Shipping became one joint shipowning company, from 1 October 2018 the joint company is named Solstad Offshore.
2023: Far Splendour has been sold to Tidewater.
