Ship history

‘Energy Duchess’ is one of two vessels for Golden Energy Offshore, sister vessel to the 'Energy Empress'. She was launched on 27 October 2015 at the Nantong Rainbow Offshore & Engineering Equipments Co., Ltd (“ROC”) yard, China. The vessels are based on the PX121 design from Ulstein, and customised with one extra accommodation deck.

At the announcement of the design contract in 2014, Per Ivar Fagervoll, CEO in Golden Energy Offshore, said that: “Golden Energy Offshore is a fully integrated ship owning company located in Ålesund, Norway, with all management functions in-house. In addition to design, ULSTEIN also delivers a significant package including equipment, supervision, commissioning and testing, which has been instrumental and a condition for us to enter into this series of vessels. There is also other Norwegian equipment on-board including the accommodation interior package, delivered in accordance with Norwegian standards.”

27 May 2019: Delivered to Golden Energy Offshore
