The UT 722 Multifunctional Offshore Service Vessels are designed by Ulstein Industrier AS, Dept Ulstein International and are built by Ulstein Verft AS, hull no 217 as Service Vessels for the Draugen Field with following duties:
- Transporting of Dry cargo, Equipment, Dry bulk, Fuel oil, Freshwater, Drillwater, Brine, Liquid mud and Methanol.
- Anhchor handling, Towing, Pushing, Assistance for cargo oil tankers.
- Stand-by/Rescue Services
- Oil recovery
- Fire fighting
- Establish emergency tow of threatening objects
- Remote operated vessel (ROV) service through moonpool for underwater inspection and service.
- Station keeping/Dynamic Positioning in all North Sea weather conditions. - Stand in as a communication centre.
